THE LARGEST TAPESTRY IN THE WORLD

Recreating Tomie Ohtake´s tapestry consumed by a fire in the event's venue at  Memorial da América Latina, in 2013, has become one of the great challenges of the recent history of Punto e Filo. Four years after the accident, the company boldly took on the mission. Fifty of our artisans made it in a single piece mostly handmade, something rare for such a large piece of work, a work that was long and delicate. 

With 840 m2 the work competes for a prominent place in Guinness World Records as the largest seamless tapestry in the world.
